As part of the Zoo’s move to recycled water, the Belmont Entrance to Roeding Park will be under construction starting 10/21. Guests are encouraged to use the Olive Entrance during the week. Belmont will be open as usual on weekends and during our ZooBoo event.
The animals at Fresno Chaffee Zoo consume hundreds of pounds of browse (tree trimmings, shrubs, leaves) every year! Animals that enjoy browse include elephants, rhinoceros, orangutans and MANY more!
We encourage Zoo visitors to bring their PESTICIDE-FREE browse to the Zoo's approved drop-off location. Please scroll down to view our approved browse species and a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
