Pack your PJs and join us for the overnight dinosaur adventure of your wildest dreams!
Visit Zoorassic Park, our limited-time exhibit after hours and learn all about your favorite dinosaurs by traveling back to a time when they roamed and ruled the Earth. Watch them move, hear them roar, and see how they lived from their nests and eggs to their soaring heights and epic battles.
After an evening of educational and exciting tours, families will make crafts, play games, and then camp under the stars at Fresno Chaffee Zoo.
In the morning, a continental breakfast will be provided to start you on your day of exploring the Zoo!
Frequently Asked Questions
What ages is this appropriate for?
All ages! The educator-led topics and activities are geared towards families and children, but anyone can participate. This is a family event, however infants may be more comfortable at home.
What are the parking and sleeping arrangements?
The Zoo has a large parking lot that has a locking gate, and we will lock the gate for the night at 9 p.m. Gates to Roeding Park are also locked at 10 p.m.
As always with anywhere you visit, we ask that you remove any valuables from your vehicles. The Zoo and City of Fresno are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Guests will sleep within the Zoo grounds, which also has locking gates.
What security measures does the Zoo have overnight?
The Zoo has 24-hour security that will be on patrol that evening, throughout Zoo grounds, around the perimeter and in the parking area.
What is included in the reservation?
We provide pizza dinner and an evening snack then a continental breakfast the following morning. Evening activities are also included. These include crafts, bio-fact discovery stations, a nighttime flashlight tour and other fun activities unique to enjoying the Zoo at night. The following day, full day admission to the Zoo with access to Zoorassic Park is included in the ticket price.
Are there member discounts?
We do not have a member discount for this program.
Are tents or other camping supplies provided?
Tents are not provided. Some guests might prefer to sleep on a mat on the grass; others might prefer to bring a tent along with them. Spaces are first come, first serve. There are no reserved spaces, so please arrange for your group to set up together. Please note that you will be camping near other guests.
What else should guests know?
Nighttime snacks are allowed, however alcohol is prohibited. Any guests with alcohol will be asked to leave without refund.
There will be free-time in the Zoo with our education guides. Guests are required to stay with staff once the Zoo is closed.
Animals are going to be sleepy, just like you! They’ll be staying in their bedrooms or on exhibit, depending on the animal. You may even hear some of them throughout the night, but you can rest assured that everyone is safe and where they belong. The dinosaurs will definitely need their rest, too. They will be active during the evening guided tour of the Zoo and during Zoo operating hours.
