Interactive Virtual Learning

Visit the Zoo without ever leaving your classroom!

Our interactive virtual learning program broadcasts right to your classroom where your students will interact with an educator in real time. All programs include our live animal ambassadors, biofacts and engaging activities to help captivate your students in their learning. All you need is a computer, projector and internet connection to connect in this wild experience.

Program Details

Availability: Monday – Friday 

Length: Approximately 30-45 minutes

Cost: $75 per program

Capacity: 30 participants per program

Reservations and questions:  Contact Please reserve at least three weeks in advance. After booking, our coordinator will contact you to set up a test call before your scheduled day.

Technology Requirements: This is an interactive program, so your students will need to hear and see us. To help facilitate this you will need:

  •       Zoom or Skype
  •       Computer or iPad with a webcam, speakers and an internet connection (a wired internet connection is recommended)
  •       Projector or TV connected to the computer or iPad
  •       Speakers and Microphone (external are recommended but you may use your computer or iPad if it has one built in)

We will set up a technology test session with you between one week to two days before the program. This is the best time to test out the platform, sound, microphone and projector.

Animal Boogie

Can you fly like an owl? Slither like a snake? Learn about different animal movements and how these adaptations help them survive. Recommend for grades K-2.

Birds, Mammals, Reptiles-Oh My!

Join us on an adventure as we take a closer look at birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Explore where these animals live, what they eat and their specialized structures they utilize to aid in their survival. Recommend for grades K-2.

Home Sweet Habitat

Take a trip around the world and explore the different places that animals call home! Take a look at these animals and investigate how they survive in their specific habitat. Recommend for grades 1-3.

Backbone Breakdown

Do all animals have backbones? Investigate the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates. We will discuss the benefits of an exoskeleton and classify vertebrates by exploring animal characteristics. Recommend for grades 2-4.

Amazing Adaptations

Poison, spikes and slime! Explore animal’s physical and behavioral adaptations and why they are so important. Investigate our live animal ambassadors for their unique adaptations!  Recommend for grades K-6

SENSE-ational Animals

How do snakes hear without ears? How do lizards smell with their tongue? You will explore how animals sense the world differently than we do and how these amazing adaptations help them in the wild! Recommend for grades K-6.

Food Chain Flow 

Are you a predator, prey or both? Learn about producers, consumers, decomposers, and scavengers as well as how they are all connected in the chain of life! Build a food chain with real animals and discover their importance to the ecosystem! Recommend for grades 4-6.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like working at a zoo? From working with animals to designing signs to teaching others, the opportunities to pursue a career at a zoo are endless! Find out what careers you can have in this wild field while meeting some of the animals who call it home!

Ask the Experts

Why do male lions have manes? Where do all the animals come from? Learn these answers and much more as you ask the experts! Participants can discuss particular topics/questions that have been requested.

Wild Behaviors

Become a scientist and learn about animal behavior and the exciting enrichment used in zoos. Get an inside look at the creative process and learn how to make some items for our animals. After the session, connect back with us to see our animals interact with your created enrichment!
