Step into a kaleidoscope of color with the return of our live Butterfly Garden and enjoy our ALL–NEW robotic Big Bug experience featuring larger-than-life species from around the world!
Located just off of Tembo Trail in African Adventure, tickets for this exhibit are available for purchase in-person at the Butterfly Garden ticket booth or online by purchasing Admission Premium tickets.
Cost Information
Fresno Chaffee Zoo Members:

- $40 with the Zoo Member 2024 Season Pass – includes unlimited admission to Butterflies & Big Bugs for everyone on your Zoo Membership for the 2024 season.

Butterfly Garden
This walk-through experience offers guests the opportunity to get up close with hundreds of butterflies, both from California and around the world, as they fly gracefully through the indoor garden. Don’t miss the Chrysalis House where you can see butterflies as they emerge from their chrysalis.
Big Bugs
Explore our Big Bugs, featuring animatronic bugs on a supersized scale in this walk-through experience! Learn about the important roles insects and spiders play in their ecosystems and enjoy the Nature Play Zone with hands-on activities.
