Plan Your Visit

With so much to see and do it’s often hard to decide on what to do first. Plan your visit to make your day the best it can be.

The Zoo is open daily!

We are excited to see you all for outdoor family fun! Pre-purchase your tickets for priority entry to the Zoo. Guests purchasing walk-up tickets may experience a wait, especially on weekends and holidays.

Member entry remains free with no reservations or timed tickets required.

Download the map and visitors’ guide before you arrive for all of the updates on what to expect and what may be impacted by construction.

One Fresno Foundation Partnership

Fresno Chaffee Zoo is excited to partner with One Fresno Foundation to join in their commitment to accessibility for all. Fresno Chaffee Zoo is committed to making the Zoo accessible to our entire community so that everyone can enjoy outdoor family fun while engaging with animals and learning about conservation.

One Fresno Foundation and United Security Bank are sponsoring 9,000 admission tickets to the Zoo for One Fresno Days every Tuesday through August 15th. One Fresno Foundation will manage the distribution of the tickets to the following local organizations and agencies: Care Fresno, Fresno PAL, Advance Peace, West Fresno Resource Center, Marjorie Mason Center, Fresno Barrios Unidos, Fresno EOC Head Start Program, Fresno Street Saints, Centro La Familia, Every Neighborhood Partnership, A Hopeful Encounter, and The Fresno Center.

We encourage community members to request tickets directly from One Fresno Foundation or work with any of the above organizations.

Before You Arrive

Pre-purchase your tickets for priority entrance to the Zoo. This helps the Zoo manage lines and provide a great guest experience. Guests purchasing walk-up tickets may experience a wait, especially on weekends and holidays.

You can purchase your tickets on our webstore. Tickets purchased online expire one year from date of purchase.

Member entry remains free with no reservations or timed tickets required.

We recommend you review and download our digital map and visitors’ guide before you arrive. The map and guide will be a handy resource throughout your visit and have the most up-to-date information.

Health and Safety Reminders

Per CDC recommendations and state and local guidance, masks are no longer required for guests who have been fully vaccinated. We ask guests to take on the responsibility to have any unvaccinated people in their party wear masks. We will not be checking vaccination status.

Please keep a social distance of at least 6 feet between your group and others.

When You Arrive

Roeding Park can experience longer lines into the park on the weekends and on holidays. The park has two entrances: one on Belmont Ave. and one on Olive Ave. On busy days when the Belmont entrance has heavy traffic, the Olive entrance is a great alternative.

For members and those with pre-purchased tickets, please look for the member/pre-purchased tickets line when you arrive. Please have your tickets or your membership card and photo ID out and ready to be scanned so that we can get you into the Zoo as quickly as possible to start your visit.

Once you have entered, you are welcome to stay through our open hours. We do not have set exit hours, except our closing time.
