Plan Your Visit

With so much to see and do it’s often hard to decide on what to do first. Plan your visit to make your day the best it can be.

Zoo admission is $14.95 for adults and $8.95 for children (ages 2-11). Children 1 and under get in free.

The Zoo is temporarily closed to the public

In compliance with the state's stay-at-home order, the Zoo is temporarily closed to the public. We are awaiting approval to re-open once the stay home order is lifted.

The closure affects regular Zoo hours, after-hours events including ZooLights and on-site programs such as Behind-the-Scenes Adventures. Guests that have purchased tickets or paid for other programs affected by the closure can contact the Zoo at 559-498-5921 or to reschedule or refund their purchase. General admission tickets remain valid for one year from the date of purchase, so guests can also contact the Zoo to re-schedule their visit upon re-opening. Fresno Chaffee Zoo members will have the option to extend their membership for the length of the closure or donate that time to the Zoo.

Please continue to check our website for updates about our re-opening and how to stay engaged with the Zoo during this time.

Plan Ahead for the Weekend

We are experiencing increased attendance on the weekends and we are excited to see you all for outdoor family fun!

Please note that some entry times for the weekend sell-out ahead of time. Those arriving without pre-purchased tickets or a membership may experience wait times to enter as capacity allows. Our team will work hard to accommodate walk-up ticket sales as guests exit and capacity allows.

You can pre-purchase your timed entry tickets at the button below. The time listed is just the entry time. Guests are welcome to stay through closing regardless of the entry time they choose. Please make sure you arrive during your entry time. We cannot guarantee early or late entry outside of your timed ticket due to our limited capacity.

Members do not require timed entry tickets. We will have a member line and we are prioritizing member entry along with the pre-purchased timed tickets.

Before You Arrive

When pre-purchasing tickets, there are hourly entry times to choose from. The times on the tickets are only to confirm your entry time. Guests are welcome to visit the Zoo throughout our open hours. We do not have set exit hours, except our closing time. The ticket reserves your entry time. The Zoo is operating at a limited capacity to allow for social distancing and follow local guidelines for the health and safety of guests, staff and animals.

You can purchase your tickets on our webstore.

Members still receive free entry and no longer need to make timed entry reservations. Members can walk-up and we can accommodate you as long as we have not reached our maximum capacity. If we have increased attendance that results in us meeting our capacity, timed entry may be re-instated. Memberships have been extended to account for the days we were closed.

We recommend you review and download our digital map and visitors guide before you arrive. We are not handing out paper maps, so this map and guide will be a handy resource throughout your visit and have the most up-to-date information.

When You Arrive

Please arrive during your time block. If you are early or late for your selected timed entry, we will do our best to accommodate you.

For members and those with pre-purchased tickets. please look for the member/pre-purchased tickets line when you arrive. Please have your tickets or your membership card and photo ID out and ready to be scanned so that we can get you in the Zoo as quickly as possible to start your visit.
